Microsoft Vista SP2 to be released in May 2009

In order to ensure stability, performance and operability of your computer it is highly recommended that you keep up to date with Microsoft's Service Packs. Vista SP2 is expected to be released sometime in May 2009. It is going to be a pretty significant upgrade. Some highlights of what is to be expected are as follows:
  • Support for the latest Bluetooth technology -- Bluetooth v2.1 --
  • Ability to record data onto Blu-ray discs
  • Better Wi-Fi performance when you're exiting Vista's sleep mode
  • Makes your RSS feeds sidebar gadget work faster and better
  • Includes the latest desktop search engine, Windows Search 4
  • Reduces resources it takes to run your various sidebar gadgets

You must have SP1 before you can proceed to extracting SP2. There maybe some glitches but this service pack is expected to be more useful than previous ones.
